So, we were going through our old slides (yes, I know) and we found these ones from my dad's trip to the Cape in 1978, I thought they might be interesting for y'all.

That is presumably an early shuttle mockup of some sort.

Picture of a pad. Not sure which one (probably 39 something).

Outdoor Saturn display from a distance.

Higher vantage point on the Saturn display.

Picture of a Saturn IB mobile launch platform. You can tell because of the milkstool.

Another angle (not the best picture).

A clearer shot of the milkstool.

This last one is my favorite. Not may people know about the milkstool, but this is a pretty clear picture compared to the other ones.

Sure looks like LC-39.  It's almost certainly LC-39 since all the other pictures are from the same area (KSC / VAB area).

That's not a launch complex, that's one of the mobile launchers...  specifically MLP-1

Ahh, okay, editing now. Sorry for the confusion.

Nice pictures. That shuttle mockup you see there is one of the early Shuttle handling test articles. It was later named Pathfinder, and it currently resides at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. I have pictures of that outdoor Saturn V display from when I took the Kennedy tour back in 1987, I should dig them up and post them some time.
