The way the runway levels up is very weird. It starts off so bumpy that it is easier and safer to just take off from the grass right next to it. What I'm proposing is that the runway start off very short, and progressively get longer, instead of the runway starting off very bumpy and getting progressively smoother.

The runaway have only two advantages over the grass:

1.It is where the craft spawns

2.recovery rate.

I'd say: Nerf the grass.

Another little known difference; The runway is slipperier than the grass.

Meaning you can take off on structural girders instead of wheels if you want.

Also to the OP; if you think the current level 1 runway is bad/bumpy, you should have seen it before it was "fixed."

To me there is no difference between the tier 3 runway and the surrounding KSC grass.

Wait, hasn't this been updated in 1.3 or 1.2? Then again, last time i played career and launched a plane in career was quite some time ago.

That's true, but the issue is that there is a difference between the tier 1 and 2 runway and the surrounding grass.

Sometimes the bumpy runway can be a blessing in disguise, lots of new players struggle with col balance and landing gear placement issues, causing difficulty taking off.

The bumps will often throw even a poorly designed plane into the air.

Also, what's wrong with the tier 2? Been awhile but it's just as flat as tier 3 isn't it?
