Because everything else is metric, I've always assumed a unit was 1 liter. If this is the case, it's 0.264172 gallons.

Very nice progress on the DLC. You have mentioned hollow colliders for decouplers in a previous development update. Does the new toroidal tank get hollow colliders too? I could immagine this to be very useful for some lander designs.
