I don't know if Beale ended up adding normal maps or not, but if he did, could you have another look at adding Nertea-style thermal blankets to Mir/ISS modules?

yes and yes, but I'll need you to comply with the point noted above please.

The new (newish) BDB Apollo docking port nose adapter thingy could use a matching texture to the rest.

Yup that's planned, but I've lost all my files so I'll have to start from scratch.

For tantares it would be nice to see the 7K texture for Soyuz, and maybe the taxi variant as well. Maybe get rid of the LK-700 texture on the va, just because the LK-700 already exists elsewhere in tantares.

@Cheesecake@sslaptnhablhat@TheAceOfHearts@oniontrain Sorry if I forgot someone.

For starting again with this I'll need the following:

  • Real spacecraft name
  • Historic variations of said spacecraft
  • craft file if possible
  • reference materials with details

Please include BDB as well.

Big thanks!

Thanks @Drakenex!

Zarya doesn't really have variations since it was just one module made of FGB parts. I don't have a craft file at the moment, but I think it's just FGB parts and the neck and node from the MIR core module. Photos in the below spoiler.

Zvezda is pretty much in the same spot, being a repurposed MIR core module.

Really glad to see this back in development now that Tantares is feature-complete!

Dunno what exactly you need @Drakenex, but here is some useful stuff:

http://www.astronautix.com/s/soyuz.html - all Soyuz variants

http://www.russianspaceweb.com/soyuz-7k-ok.html

http://www.astronautix.com/r/r-7.html - launcher

https://space.skyrocket.de/doc_lau_fam/r-7.htm - launcher

https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-russian-soyuz-spacecraft-on-display-at-the-national-space-centre-leicester-34465202.html - these are some high res photos of a blue soyuz variant, I think soyuz-11

https://github.com/friznit/Unofficial-Tantares-Wiki - craft files

buran.ru also has a lot of highres photos

This is a nice pic of all the Soyuz R7 color schemes, allthough these are diecast models from some ebay page, they look authentic

(apologizes for the glitchyness of the spoiler tags for the pictures, this was the best I could fix them)

Super Job. I like the shiny Atlas very much.

Is it possible to make the alternate paint schemes (Chrayol, SM-65, Midas 2) for the TU-Version too?

If I am correct, I don't think properly. You could have the texture switch, but the painted bits on the rocket would also be shiny, when they should be matte.
