Rest in Peace, a true spaceflight, hero.

Sad to see the Moonmen pass away, lets hope we put a man on the Moon before the last one fades away.

To me he is one of the greatest astronauts who ever lived. Those who know of his life and career at NASA will probably agree.

He certainly had an impressive resume and it is sad to hear of his passing, but we must remember that the Apollo program is almost 50 years ago now so this sort of attrition is inevitable. We owe a debt of gratitude to the makers of documentaries like "In The Shadow of the Moon" and "Mission Control" for capturing these men's memories before they were lost forever.

Two Gemini flights (one with a sandwich), two Apollo flights, and two shuttle flights.  Flew four different kinds of spacecraft, including the maiden flights of two of them.

Farewell, sir!  You were a legend.
