I have KSP 1.2.2 with RSS, RO, and RP-0 installed using CKAN. I discovered that if I open it independently of CKAN, I can open stock KSP. Is it safe to play stock?

I actually found this out a couple of months ago on accident, and thought nothing major of it until recently when I badly had an urge to play stock again for its simpler plane construction mechanics, greater exploitability, etc. The question I have is this: Is it safe? I'm worried playing stock KSP (of course, not on the same savegames) while still having RSS, RO, and RP-0 installed may crash it, or corrupt my savefiles. Will it?

Er, what? This... shouldn't be possible. I have a 1.2.2 RSS/RO/RP-0 install, built via CKAN (more or less), and no matter how I launch it, it loads as RSS/RO/RP-0. In fact, that should be true of any modded KSP install, regardless of how you put it together.

The best thing to do if you want to play stock while preserving your modded install is to just create another KSP install.

I adhere to the aforementioned. It shouldn't be possible, and regardless of how you launch the game (CKAN or browsing your PC for the KSP64 exe) you should reach the same modded install.
