Game crashing with larger ships

Recommended Posts

Hi, don't know if everyone is having this problem or if there is a fix.

My game must have crashed at least a dozen times today with me trying to launch larger ships. The fps drops to low single fingers and if I have to revert to VAB/hanger, quite often the game will just crash. This is making the game unplayable unless you only use small ships.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Do u know the partcount? I'm testing a Rocket with 255 parts and loading or reverting could Take about 20-30 Seconds and the Time in the Upper Left Corner is constand yellow. It Never crashed but that is in Sandbox without any other Flights

Your answer is: consoles.

Sadly the Xbox1/PS4 are simply not up to the task of playing KSP with part counts that high. That's why the Flying tiger version had part count limits. Removing the limit just opens you up to crashes and major slow down. although, If there is a KSP 2 it will be made for the current gen consoles and will absolutely fly!

I can launch a ship with 300 parts and have it not crash!

How was the slideshow? :D

Seriously though, that's a low part count compared to PC. It's straining the console and will make it vaunerable to crashing. Which may lead to lost saves ect.
