Tried to install https://kerbal.curseforge.com/projects/ksp-interstellar-extended/files/2467195/download today. (1st page download url to the mod)

Reactors menus missing for magnetized target reactor, presumably many others too.

ksp.log filled with missing resource errors. KSP.log is 3mb so can't even pastebin it..

But the errors are:

Checking CommonResources.cfg in the install shows that LqdTritium exists but not Tritium. Seems like KSPI_Extended_1.15.0.7.zip has a much smaller CommunityResourcePack\CommonResources .cfg then previous versions of KSPi (1.14)

Kind of expected behavior. turn power priority down to 1, or add another power source for 10%+ more thrust, or reduce throttle a touch..

Turned power priority to 1 and now it work flawlesly :D

I think I would be able to reach orbit on RSS with this craft :P

 

Just attach ARCJET/VASMIR somewhere for high ISP thrust

I like how fusion reactors can "faint" from overheating, if only source of power is coming from them trough thermal generator.

That is thermal generator efficiency falls low enough, so it can't generate enough energy for fusion maintaince.

Hi again @FreeThinker, What I forgot to mention previous week also is that the Diamagnetic container also failed to collect AM when in a vessel with collectors. Possibly the same resource conversion thingy you mentioned?

All KSPI engines must overcome static pressure if they aren't using atmospheric mode.

I guess warning could be added, that says engine has too low static pressure to overcome ambient pressure.

First off, plasma nozzle is for space only, use thermal launch nozzle for launching from the pad.

Second I think you might be suffering from the same bug I just was. Install the latest version of CRP from GitHub

Yes but KSPI has the wrong version of that other mod (CRP), so it won't work at all till you get the update he posted, if you downloaded KSPI recently. (15.07)

Yes but KSPI has the wrong version of that other mod (CRP), so it won't work at all till you get the update he posted, if you downloaded KSPI recently. (15.07)

Also, try the magnatized target fusion reactor with the Thermal launch nozzle. Its got a GREAT thrust to weight ratio when fully upgraded and will work in the atmosphere.

All the other reactors have different requirements. Make sure to add a thermal electric generator to the other side of the reactor to keep it powered! Or try a molten salt reactor, it does not need any power to run (But low TWR and ISP, good for a test rig though to make sure stuff works)

Sooooo idk what I'm doing wrong here... If I am doing something wrong.

It's probably gonna end up being me doing things wrong, maybe it's a bug, but I'm kinda struggling to find any solution to my problem. I have a bit of experience with this mod but mostly from old versions, this time i'm using the latest beta available for 1.2.2 and I am apparently confused with how the mod works now. So basically I threw this mod on top of an already heavily moded install, just because I was running out of end-game tech to acquire, and because I wanted the new Kerbstein drive to do all kind of The Expanse themed ships.

The problem is, I'm having trouble powering apparently anything and especially that Kerbstein Drive. So first simple question : what does it take exactly to power this monster ?? I'll assume that at least the quantum singularity reactor or an antimatter reactor should be able to do it and that therefore I'm doing something wrong and probably lacking some crucial parts. But basically I was able to turn the quantum reactor on once I cheated my way into orbit, powered it with a smaller fusion reactor, the part description says it includes a generator so once it's on it should work, aaaand... It doesn't produce a 1000th of what the Kerbstein is sucking.

So maybe I'm not doing something wrong, and the reactors that I tried (basically all of them) aren't able to power it, which brings a serious doubt that perhaps my game is broken. Which brings me to my second simple question. What are these reactor supposed to output anyways ? What should I read in the reactor control window ? 

I'm reading output powers in megawatts (18MW for an antimatter initiated microfusion thingy, shouldn't it be GW instead ?), and I noticed that none of the reactors seem to be producing quite a lot of electricity. I remember not so long ago on 1.1 powering tons of tons of drills on a single dumb molten salt reactor and now I was very surprised to see that a tri-alpha wasn't enough to power my space casino at a mere 1,5K electric charge(stock) per sec... 

I searched for information up on this thread and found @raxo2222 just after the kerbstein was released who was powering it with a antimatter initiated fusion reactor, I tried the same and the readings I get on my screenshots are quite different from his... Leading me to think that my game is perhaps broken.

On the other hand I get decent thrust on thermal nozzles with the fission reactors, leading me to think that the reactors work and that I am doing something wrong.

I'll try different combinations and perhaps a different mod version but if someone could point me in either direction help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems like latest version comes with outdated IFS plugin.

 

Also changelogs for 1.15.0.8 is 1.15.0.7 are excatly same.

I see SI prefixes and far infrared wavelength was added.

Also Airborne Diode Laser Transmitter should have laser diode in it, otherwise being surface attachable doesn't make sense.

Antimatter collector still is not added to ISRU category
