i just realized that some things around kerbin are kinda oversized
just like the trees

It turns out that kerbals are kind of like pandas-- they live on a herbivorous, high-cellulose diet that has a very low calorie content per volume.  So they're rather... productive... and require specialized plumbing facilities.

Exactly, the toilet is the correct size for the activity involved.   Think "baseball back stop" when designing a kerbal toilet. 

 

And I'd really hate to see what happens when you click "Spawn Vessel" in that screen shot!

I'm sure kerbals are not from Kerbin, they arrived with flying saucers and probably forget their past... That would explain why their main interest is space, they just want to go home.

What append to Kerbin"s original habitant is a mystery.
