Well technical  its it a realsim feature, giving it more character, balance and a sence of consequence. I uderstand some people don't want to get restrained by reality

Not finding electrical capacitor purpose clearly spelled out in the docs or this forums.

Could someone explain when to use a electrical capacitor or provide a link to explanations?

The megajoules that the capacitor stores are automatically used when necessary. If you need to convert them to an electric charge (for example, to recharge conventional batteries) just pull the slider in the control panel of the capacitor in the right direction.

A capacitor is also required for the operation of fusion reactors and engines. Because it stores the necessary amount of electricity to support reactions.

LOL I  remember that Deinonychus 1-D Chem Eng was put in Fusion Engines type, some how feel that partly correct because they have operate in a similar way —— by putting two thing together to make it heat up and eject out.

And what is this? 1-D is a universal chemical rocket engine that would not make different models for different fuel. And this is very convenient than making engines for Methane, Kerosene and Hydrogen.

Once I get back to civilisation and have home fibre to download KSPIE updated I'll look at the patches again for the TETRIX TechTree.

Doing the Kerbalism patches has given me some more confidence in getting it right.

PEACE.

Hello @FreeThinker

As I reported before, on your latest releases, there is a severe problem in electricity, basically Megajoules Vanish without doing nothing!

I am still using a last good old version, 1.25.0.5

CORRECT - 1.25.0.5:

@pmborg

I have not yet seen this behaviour myself yet and I need to replicated it first

We need to find out the minimum set of parts where this problem start to arrize

The only change I made were related to the automated  battery recharger one month ago. It might explain the disapearing of power.

Do you have any super lithium battery on this vessel?

I will try, to define it, but I would say that I don't have anything special...

Opening 2 KSPs now, running at same time to trying the replication

" Do you have any super lithium battery on this vessel? "

No.

I will get there I am close now.

2 vessels on is ok and the other is not with less than 17 parts.

Also make sure you look at your log. Usualy some exception are generated when things go wrong

What about KSP 1.7.3?

I will test it again in 1.7.3, yes I confirm that is giving the same results:

[1] But the tests reported before, were done in 1.8.1

[2] Wrong values, for a ship with 2 reactors, pebble and tri-alpha:

[3] There is a new problematic ship with only 10 parts:

https://kerbalx.com/pmborg/space1e_core3_error

[4] Maybe the problem is in OPT mod!? a kind of conflict with KSPI?

@FreeThinker updated the data known.

Have you tried replacing the OPT part by stock parts? It doesn't have to look pretty

Actually yes is that version that I called:

The normal one:

https://kerbalx.com/pmborg/anormalone

From the tests of yesterday, I can conclude that OPT mod work well in stock, KSPI work well in stock, maybe the problem is when both are together, but this is not a final conclusion yet.

But the problem exist and is very simple to replicate, as can be seen in images.
