Tundra's Space Center


After a long wait, I can finally share you my version of some historic real life launchpads!
To set it up, put the TundraSpaceCenter folder into your GameData, open the KK menu (ctrl + k) and place it anywhere you want! After that convert it into a launchpad and you are good to go!

 

This mod only works with KSP 1.8.x and above!!

@damonvv how can I use this as Kerbal Konstructs says on the OP that it does not work with 1.4

EDIT:

Also when will TT be released because 1.4.3 is out now - will it be a couple of weeks because if so do not rush yourself trying to get a release! :)

TT will come at the same time as TE, just waiting on the final configs! Shouldn't be long ;) 

Also you need the KK version on github, which is for 1.4.x

this can happen, but nevertheless in the flight scene also the KK menu should open. you can change the keybinding of KAS to something else, so its not messing up with KK

This should work anywhere. Just open up the KK mod and place it anywhere you want!

I have placed the asset down and set it as a launchpad, but when I am in the VAB and I select the LC-40 and proceed to launch, the vessel loads on the Squad launchpad. Any help please?

Making some changes to the LC-40 pad, will also make the SpaceX building and most likely a better looking stockalike Pad 39A/B.

LC-40 pad is far from done, will make some new LOX tanks and some smaller props to fill it up a bit!

Also making a 39B version for KSP. This will support many mods! Currently using the dev version of the Modular Launch Pads mod from @AlphaMensae which fits perfectly! The smoke will come from the SSMEs and Boosters seperately, so when the SSMEs fire only one side will have smoke.
It will also work great with the Apollo pad.

This will also support normal launches like a normal launchpad. Currently looking for a good TEL for a F9/FH launch from that pad :cool:

Things needed to be done for this pad are:

- adding pipes
- a water tower
- lights

Once I get all these done, I will look into making a nice building to have it look like a SpaceX Pad 39A, or for the LC-40 pad.

Have you used KK before? You have to place the launchpad yourself in order to launch from it. You also have to make it a “launchpad” by clicking the button while you are placing the pad.
