ksp menu fps drop

ok, so when I load ksp and when I get to the main menu, everything is good but not the frame rate. its not because I have a bad computer(I have an awesome computer). the fps goes to about 10 fps and I don't know why.if anyone knows why it does this, then please let me know.

I would need more information. What mods are you using, KSP version, 32-bit or 64-bit, do you have an output log, does it run fine on an Unmodded KSP install, what is your definition of an Awesome computer.
