How do I Use the EVA pack?

Hello,

I recently started playing Kerbal Space Program and do not know how to use the EVA pack in the game.

Can anyone please help me?

Thanks

In EVA mode with a Kerbal, just go ahead and press "r"! To control, ijkl and hn are your translational keys, and wasd is normal movement. A few caveats: Make sure you have EVAfuel on your kerbal and also make sure that the local gravity is weak enough to use the EVA pack. Those thrusters have kick, but they aren't that powerful!

I hope this helps, and welcome to the fray!

It's an RCS jetpack, so yes, R to activate the RCS.

When you are flying suborbital, except in special circumstances, the game forces your helmet to point Up. In space, except in special circumstances, the game forces your helmet to always point North. The default setting is for your Kerbal to always be forced to point directly away from your camera viewpoint. So you can turn your Kerbal by moving the camera. You enable and disable that mode by turning SAS on and off. To force your Kerbal to face away from you, hit space. If you are in space and point your camera nearly South or North, and then hit space to try to force your Kerbal to face in that direction, your Kerbal will go temporarily insane.

Shift to thrust up (towards your helmet), Ctrl to thrust down. W is forward, S is backward. A is left, D is right. Q and E rotate, but you will almost never use those two.

I’ve been playing ksp for almost 2000 hours and I never knew about this lol.

Yes truly.

Although I have only got about 20-ish hours of playing but I managed to strike Sol from Eeloo with an inter planetary missile

You can set the other rotations with keys too, but I’ve had bad luck with it actually working right. Camera+space is much better.
