Is it possible to get a stationery orbit of Kerbin?

I want to put a satellite in stationery orbit above the KSC, what orbit distance and hence speed do i need?

I would try and work it out but don't know how fast Kerbin spins and my brain maths is mediocre

It's totally possible, pretty damn easy too.

I don't quite recall the distance/speed you're gonna need, but you should be able to find a tutorial about it by using the search function.

Try Geosynchronous Orbit or Keosynchronous Orbit

/Edit: Ah, it's 2,875 kilometers

IT's not impossible. It's actually pretty easy, as long as you mean a kerbinstationary orbit. I think the height for that is 2868.4 km. If you circularize at that height, you should see Kerbin underneath you not moving.

Also, you can check the precision of your orbit if you show the surface velocity. Try to get that as close to zero as possible, and you'll have a geostationary orbit!

A keosynchronous orbit is at 2,875 kilometers ,

It's much lower than geosynchronous (which is 42,164 km) because kerbin is smaller but still far out. But if the craft can get to muner orbit then it should have plenty of fuel!

Also in combination with Kerbins 6hour day, instead of earths 24hous
