Ancient mythology
Sometimes can feel the human, daemonic, or divine presence.
Have superhuman strength and reflexes
Wield unique and powerful swords (or other weapons including sharpened bones), sometimes with gem crystals in their hilts

Usually haven't fallen (as hadn't raised).
Sometimes are a divine offspring (can it be counted as a fall compared to his dad's status?).

Sometimes fall and survive only one two (as belonging to a gender binary species) in whole world.

Usually have some single enemy somewhere in a forest.
After killing him,  get another single enemy somewhere in a forest.
(As nobody in his village dares to mess with this cuckoo.)

Always live in a village as those cities are just bigger villages.

Often have an antagonist of same age because The Good should defeat, humiliate, and brutally murder The Evil wait with sad face while The Evil is brutally murdering itself (at least they later tell so).
And who is worse better The Evil than a school bully?

An untrustworthy king had liquided off the gang , which the hero's folks were belonging to.
Now they are spewing the snots telling how they H8, H8, H8 this bloody stand-up guy.
(This is a truth, from some point of view. He is as bloody as allof them, and technically very probably is somebody's stand-up guy. (Why not. Say, Hercules is.))
Good and bad characters live in the same or in close villages and watch at each other's offsprings to liquid off once they have grown up.

The first thing they do is lifting rocks.
Because somebody should. A plowland won't create her itself.

Tricky ones do this with magick because they are lazy and don't like to wash hands after the work.

The main characters can control the minds of the weak willed.
Otherwise those characters would be main
The rider gives the big bad's son his father's sword.
Because metal things cost a lot in their village, so they use one for ages.

Eragon is a bit closer to Star Wars than just what you'd get via hero's journey stuff.  The last battle is fought with small fury creatures.

I thought Eragon was SUPPOSED to be a shot-by-shot retelling of Star Wars, but with a name that made you think of Lord of the Rings. I mean, how else were they going to get people to pony up money for it?

And I watched SeaQuest on the antenna back when it was new. Everybody back then knew it was Star Trek underwater.

Here's a threefer from about that same time.

THE TITLES AND PLOTS ARE THE SAME!

51cjONAz-EL._SX322_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg

Both Are:

1. Last movie in a series

2. Longest movie/episode in a series

4. Characters immediately half "win" (voyager returns home after 23 years, avengers kill present thanos)

5. Multi-year time skip

6. Involve a bad world which the characters have gotten used to

7. Several characters are in degrading states (fat thor, insane tuvok)

8. Time heist using specially developed particles

9. Past version of BBEG is intercepting communications

10. BBEG has a cyborg adopted daughter that joined the good guys

11. Time travel does not create a paradox

12. Protagonist sacrifices themself to kill BBEG, drops a one liner

13. Final fight has whole fleet attack BBEG ship

14. All the bad guys are deactivated/turned to dust

15. Many people had doubts about wanting to fixing the timeline

I just started watching series The First, and in the first episode, there is something suspicious!

Spoiler

The episode was released on September 18, 2018. In it, the rocket carrying first future Mars astronauts to LEO experiences a RUD due to an anomaly in SRB separation. All the crew dies :(

It is remarkably similar to what happened less than a month later to a Soyuz launcher. Fortunately, in real life the cosmonauts survived, but isn't it a startling coincident?

Spoiler

Enders Game is similar to (and I think inspired) Evangelion

Decades before the series, humanity was devastated by the First and Second Formic Wars/Impacts

The protagonist is referred to as "Third Child"

The protagonist's mind is interfaced with by the secret organization, but actually by aliens in the process

The protagonist was raised from birth for the purpose of fighting aliens

The protagonist goes to a school with the purpose of finding candidates for fighting the aliens

The protagonist is not told why he needs to kill all the aliens

Protagonist tries to run away

The super-weapon the humans have is "used too early"

The battle room has a holographic map

The protagonist's friend is not quite human and knows what is really going on

The protagonist has no friends and has his communications monitored

The human base of operations is an underground facility abandoned by the aliens

Protagonist forced to kill another student

People question what the EVAs/International Fleet will be used for once the aliens are defeated

In Enders Game, the Philotic Twinings connects all minds, while in Evangelion the Absolute Terror Field divides all minds

The protagonist hallucinates being in a playground towards the end, but the playground is a hidden message from the aliens

After defeating the last alien, everyone congratulates him and he is briefly happy, but then reality sets in

Ends with planet being turned to goo
