The 2.5m tanks

Does anyone else get bothered by the new long 2.5m tanks because they have 3 black stripes but the other 2.5m tanks have 4 black stripes and it means the textures don't fit and it makes most of my rockets look weird due to them not fitting.

Yea, bothers me too...I just installed tweakscale and use either the 1.875 scaled up or the 3.75 scaled down.

I find if you want a consistent art style in KSP, you have to rely on mods.

Alternatively you could try and stick fairings and radiators around everything to hide the ugliness/inconsistency.

It does seem a bit oddly inconsistent.  I never particularly noticed the issue myself until someone else brought it up, though, mainly because I rarely "stack" tanks vertically with direct connections.  So the scenario of "put one tank on top of a different tank and whoa, it looks weird" simply doesn't come up in my designs.  Rather, it's more a matter of "here's a tank, and then an engine-with-shroud, and then a decoupler, and then another tank".  Having the engine-shroud-and-decoupler in between the two tanks breaks up the visual flow anyway so I don't particularly notice the difference in textures.  (And to the degree that I do notice it... they're on different stages so I think of them as different things anyway, so I don't mind them not matching.)
