* Fix reentry VFX showing from hidden side of vessel (ie. showing through the vessel). FINALLY

* Removed Red Shell. Nice.

But I still don't see any fix for the swapped engine models of the Skiff and the Wolfhound.

Just fired up the game on Steam and upon exit I am  seeing the could save functionality.  Unfortunately it appears to be uploading at <3kb/sec over my 150mb/sec-up fiber optic internet line.  Anyone else seeing slow uploads to the cloud?

Fantastic! I don't think mods will have to be rebuilt for 1.4.4?

Kopernicius tells you straight-out that it won't work with 1.4.4.  Outta curiosity, is anyone else only seeing the update on Steam?  When are the KSP store builds being updated?

Nice, that Steam craft sharing is pretty slick.  Well done.

One piece of feedback I would add is that the auto-generated thumbnail that is used does not render the fairings very well, if at all.  It seems to show the parts inside the fairing, but with a plain white texture over them:

Here is another example of someone's SaturnV uploaded to the Workshop, missing its fairings:

So, is the Launcher dead now? I've been using it for years to get fullscreen windowed mode to run KSP in the background.

KSP does NOT use real (exclusive) fullscreen mode from version 0.90 which is sad as it is boost performance on low-end GPUs

So just check the option at in-game settings to run game in background.

Much respect to Squad/TTI for listening to the feedback of it's players, and removing RedShell.

Thank-you to everyone who used their voices to create change. It's a powerful message.

This means goodbye for me.

Cheers, everyone.

Perhaps the devs do not consider them to have been swapped. It's been pointed out previously that their current values fit their intended roles (launch sustainer vs pure vacuum), while the real life analogues have "swapped" stats due to factors that aren't represented in stock KSP (different fuel types). You may not agree with that analysis, but it should at least be acknowledged when inquiring about this.

Indeed.   For what it's worth, deep in the comments section of Scott Manley's video showcasing the MH engines, he confirms that the stats are as such for gameplay reasons.   He's not a dev, to be sure, but I'm sure he is in the know when it comes to those values.  It's good enough for me.

Please add 1.4.4 to the bugtracker pulldown.  Found a couple doozies.

Spoiler

You can lock your game up requiring a forced (alt+f4 shutdown) by opening the settings menu and hitting escape to close it.  Locks the game up 100%.

* Updated map nodes to be visually different when behind a celestial body.

Can we get a setting to turn this off?  Dimming out the parameters text to make it hard to read is not a desirable feature to me.

Another victim of ".SFS file is incompatible with this KSP version" here.

Long story short. Being me. Just common steam player. Steam updates games automatically. I dont even notice KSP get updated because i have a lot of active games. Load a save and play a little bit. Realize some mods don't work. Revert to previous version. Being a victim.

Yea i read now answers from dev team back from 2015 about making backups before updates. But after it happens to me.

Not even mad because im new on ksp and in my science save i was somewhere in mun landings, and making space stations in mun orbit so not far. But still... if i could chose i wish i can play on my previous save.

Like i wrote, dont need to reply to my post i read reaplies from 2015, just let you guys now, another victim.

Uh okay.  I figured it might be relevant to the discussion of poor upload speeds to the Steam Workshop.

1.4.4 drops and that all you have to say huh?  Yikes.

The Steam summer sale started at about the same time as the KSP update was released. So slow speeds are to be expected for a while.

you can go back to 1.4.3 within steam if you want, if you right click on KSP in your Library, then go to Properties > Betas > pick the version you want.

GAP is the Graphic Action Pane. That's the window where you can place vessels, kerbals, orbits, etc in the Mission Builder.
