My Eve problem

I have been trying to send a satellite or probe to Eve for quite some time but I can't figure out the transfer window. I have sent many ships to places like Jool or Duna just by eyeballing the window but I just can't for Eve. Does anybody have an easy way of figuring out transfer windows? I'm getting tired of Duna.

You can use Alex Moon's Launch Window Planner ...

and I just used Olex's Interactive illustrated interplanetary guide to send three ships to Moho so it has to be good!

The easiest way is to install Mechjeb.

In addition to Alex Moon's web-based planner, TriggerAu has a KSP plugin for this. It's self-contained and doesn't require any additional add-ons or plugins. This will also show you where you should plot your ejection burn.

Eve's inclination makes it a slightly harder target, but it also has a larger sphere of influence due to its size and gravity to counter this.

It varies depending on the particular launch window, but generally you want to launch when Eve trails Kerbin in its orbit by about 45 degrees.

Without seeing your screen, are you planning your burn on the correct side of Kerbin?  Dark side takes you out, light side takes you in.
