It's one of the "anomalies" that are scattered through the game.

Kerbin has several (not just saucers) as some of the planets and moons.

Congrats.   You found an easter egg. There are several more here and there.

If you build a good plane, you can fly to it and land very close right on the ice cap. It's just a short walk up the hill from there. You can even climb up on top of it, and of course - take a selfie!

Did Squad/T2 ever release a list of all easter eggs in KSP? I think that it's fair enough to say that the list on the wiki is complete, but if there's an "official" list I'd like to know.

There's no easter egg list actually written by a member of Squad, but I'm sure all of the easter eggs have been found by players by now.

With the exception of the Green Meanie monoliths, here's a list with coordinates of the in-game Easter eggs. Now if you are using a planet pack, such as OPM, they have their own eggs not listed here.
