Not far enough. The distance between Osaka and wherever you are is still not far enough!

The first British quick-hack meganuke Violet Club, of submegaton class.

Pure U, no Pu, no fusion.
Thus, huge and weird.

Originally it was a megaton officially.
But it appeared that it's less than a megaton.
It was decided that it's still a megaton, as 0.5 megaton is still is almost a megaton.
Then it appeared that it's actually 0.4 Mt. But as 0.4 is still almost 0.5, nobody cared.

Its "safety device".

Spoiler

A rubber bag is put inside the hollow uranium sphere, full of steel balls from bearings.
To prevent the U sphere collapse and chain reaction in case of smash or burn.

On the plane launch preparation, after the bomb is attached into the bomb bay, they take the safety cork out, and the balls fall out, into a carriage, then the bag is pulled out.
Then they stick a uranium cork into the hole.
After that the nuke has no safety in case of damage.

Once the cork had fallen out incidentally, so in the morning they found a heap of balls under the armed bomb, and the airforce staff unexpectedly added a heap of bricks next to it.

After that case, it was ordered to store these bombs overturned, to keep the hole on top.

As on the plane engines run, the balls started vibrating in the uranium sphere like jelly-beans in a box, and frightening everyone around,  it was ordered to remove the steel balls before the engines launch.
Thus, the last pre-flight preparations and engines warming were taking place with fully armed and sensitive to damage bomb in the bay.

Due to its peerless safety, it was prohibited to transport it along roads, and even more than just that.

And yes, the fuse ignition capacitors of all this beauty was powered with commercial motorcycle batteries, which were charged and inserted immediately before the flight.

A geofront. Osaka needs a geofront. Like Tokyo.

And Evangelion Giant Combat Mecha Robots.

Because... you know...

That would actually be a Kerbalism.

The early designers were so focused on making sure their nuclear bombs exploded that they didn't consider until later design features to make them safe from not exploding as much as they should.  The excellent book Command and Control covers this extensively.

Take a biplane with huge wings, shove on it the biggest engine you could find.

Use a suit that looks like somethings from Julio Verne's 20.000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Take off in 5 seconds, so overpowered is the whole setup.

Climb to 56.000 feet, near the verge of the space.

Using. A. Biplane.

This is so marvelously Kerbal that I had to do something about! :D

1. When you have a potato computer to render and play, and have to use as simple models as possible.

2. When you yet don't know how to add interiors, so just place the windows aside.

3. When you realise that the wheels are attached too high, but if put them lower, they will swap and cross.

4. When you just take a photo of a tin can as a texture, because still can't make complicated UV maps.

5. When you just have purchased the DLC and try two blades to make a propeller.

Ah, Yamato!! Great anime! :)

But I would like to recommend you to reading about the original one too!

Did you know that they had planes and cranes to launch and recover them from the sea? Think on Infernal Robotics and KAX!!!

And the thing was huge!

Me, a naval historian-in-training:

you forgot that they had the world's largest guns and a ridiculous amount of AA -- that still wasn't enough. So much ammo onboard, the ship blew up in a blast so big, they could hear it in Tokyo.

TOKYO.

TOKYO.

Nice, the problem with the spruce goose was obviously that it was far to small. This thing is twice as long as the An-225 and twice the wingspan.
Give it decent turboprop engines and you have an interesting plane.
Useful for Japan during WW 2? Could been nice if they had them at the start, later on the air probably become to dangerous and Japan was running low on pilots so escorts would be hard to get.

Yes,  one cool thing about the Yamato is that it had internal hangar for the spotting planes in an hangar at the rear of the ship. The Iowa's did not have that.
Some earlier battleships could launch planes from the center but this was often deleted on updates for more anti air. Later in WW 2 BB was either escorting carriers or they had small carriers for spotting and air support, some US WW 2 cruisers had an rear hangar as they was supposed to operate more independently than battleships and fleet carriers who would always be part of fleets simply because of their escorts :)

Now I say
Yamato is an nice design for an battleship but I think its an stupid design  for an spaceship, had been smarter to spread out the guns more, say 6 turrets with two guns each on top an bottom, it give an 12 gun broadside if you rotate the ship along the axis of trust and 8 straight forward and back
