It’s only been mere days since the discovery of TESS’s first planet, Pi Mensae c, but now it’s second discovery has been reported. LHS 3844 b is a Super-Earth orbiting one of the nearest known red dwarf stars every 11 hours. It is currently the closest Ultra-Short Period planet ever found, and has one of the shortest known orbital periods.
