So in part 1 we placed a ferry boat that will cross Jeb over the canal.

PART 2: DRIVING TO THE TEMPLE.

We will be using Kerbin time to time the mission, placing the boat took us 3 days . . .

We will start in a minute . . .

Our new buggy is more powerful then the one I've used for my pole2pole mission.

I do have to be careful, if the buggy rolls over I can't turn it back up...

Terrain will be interesting.

Funny, first kilometers is the same as stage 1 in the Kerbal Dakar.

Once we are through the mountains we can pick up some speed.

I see I am way overpowered, thanks to the nukes I can drive forever.

I always go overboard on my fuel cell too. 4 seems to be the magic number on those (1 per wheel).

EDIT: Oh wow, we literally posted at the same time!

And that’s not a particularly good turn of events. You’ll need to fly in a new buggy now.

"Racing through the night across the star swept grasslands of Kerbin, Jebediah Kerman was worried.  What would happen if he paid the ferryman before he got him to the other side?  Warmed by the cheery glowing warmth of his rover Mad Max's RTGs, he had a hard time thinking of dark thoughts.  But the cruel seas of Kerbin had already claimed 2 vessels and Val and Bill still hadn't dried out completely.  Jeb decided he'd worry about the sea and the ferry when he got to them.

"That was a good choice, as the Kraken decided at that moment to reach out through the mists of...the misty mists.  And give a little nudge to Mad Max.  Who promptly decided the best thing to do when nudged by the Almight Kraken was to explode.  Partly.

"Jeb fought to control Mad Max even as Mad Max fought to send little bits of itself across the plain.  The rover crashed across the verge until it came to a stop.

"Was this the end?

"No.  This was Jebediah Kerman.  Past veteran of spaceflight.  Jet flight.  And a few soggy boat trips.  Explosions!  Ha!  What did explosions mean to Jeb Kerman?  That it's Tuesday."

"Jeb exited the smoking ruin of a rover.  Back to KSC or forward to the ferry?  Either way it was a long walk."

That's very interesting, amphibious rovers could do a full circumnavigation.

But how would something like that look ? Floaters ?

I just stuck a jet fuel tank and Wheesley engine to the back of my rover. It floats a bit low in the water but otherwise works.

"KSC Control.   Ah...currently not receiving the live feed from Not a Bomb.  Telemetry is still nominal and we have good orbital photo-reconnaissance that Not a Bomb is still in motion.  We're expecting to hear back from Jebediah Kerman shortly.  This is..KSC Control."
