Having issues finding the western Lowlands.   The map on the wiki is nice, but without a usable legend, pretty much useless.   Anybody have a map with a working legend?

Random thought have you tried Kerbnet? Once you get the... Okto 2? You can see biomes and IIRC even get a biome map in map mode, though that last part may be a misremember on my part, or a mod, or an alt-f12 option.

Yeah, I tried Kerbnet, but only after my lander was too close to the surface to get a wide view.    :S.   But I found it using the MJ landing target tool.    But a usable map would be nice.   The wiki entry for the Mun has a usable legend, just surprised not all do.

If you think about the worm formed thing: yes, that's the canyon
