Kerbal Space Program needs borderless windowed option

Recommended Posts

It's already there, a command line option.  I think it is -popupwindow

Can you explain why this would be beneficial?

If you have multiple screens, it prevents the game from being back grounded if you click outside the window.  I use this all the time

Complain to Unity.

I swear you could use this option from the launcher at one point in time.  It was oddly still not an option within the game itself.  That being said, did Unity remove this?  ...or did KSP's launcher work around it some how?  I still have old versions of KSP to confirm whether I'm crazy or not.

Correct. Using the launcher you were able to tell it because the launcher was launching KSP as a separate program, and therefore was able to specify the option to it.

This is all possible. Try this:

  1. Create a shortcut with startup parameter -popupwindow.
  2. Launch the game using your customized shortcut.
  3. Go to settings and change resolution to your screen size.
  4. Uncheck Full Screen. --very important.

This allows me to mouse over to other monitors while KSP remains in focus.

See this for more details on startup parameters.:     https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Startup_parameters
