Question

Low gravity worlds can cause kerbals to tumble out of control and go ragdoll (arguably a bug). Most often they'll come to rest *eventually* so wait it out, stand them up, and hit R to engage their RCS jetpack.

For Minmus, fly as gently as you would in zero-g; tap tap tap the RCS, avoid sustained bursts.

Alternative problems include having something on the outside of the craft too near the hatch; he's colliding with it on exit, which pings him away from the ship.

This usually doesn’t happen in my experience, though, as any culprit object that would bounce the kerbal away from the ship would probably obstruct the hatch to begin with.

Be fortunate the kerb isn't spagetifiing away at trans-light speed.  I haven't seen that behavior recently, but it has been known to happen on rare occasions.
