I lost control of my kerbal and he keeps spining

so i landed on duna (first time landing on a something other than kerbin, the mun or minmus big moment for me i was so exited but then this happened) i tried to plant a flag but instead all my kerbal did was start spinning and i lost control of him i tried to use the pause menu but the only button that works is resume game, my keyboard wan't out of charge (i checked) so what now?

Low gravity worlds can cause kerbals to tumble out of control and go ragdoll (arguably a bug). Most often they'll come to rest *eventually* so wait it out, stand them up, and hit R to engage their RCS jetpack.

For Minmus, fly as gently as you would in zero-g; tap tap tap the RCS, avoid sustained bursts.

Alternative problems include having something on the outside of the craft too near the hatch; he's colliding with it on exit, which pings him away from the ship.

This usually doesn’t happen in my experience, though, as any culprit object that would bounce the kerbal away from the ship would probably obstruct the hatch to begin with.
