by default, kerbal space program is designed to use only one core (thread) to process physics but this is a problem when you use a multicore processor like the ryzen ones this has as a result as I see dramatically performance drop if the core of the physic processing is overloaded. I got a problem too and I use intel core i5 and I see that the kerbal space program when freezing its strip to 25% of CPU usage (shown on task manager details) which means that the physics processing core is overloaded.so how to force kerbal space program to use more than one core when it comes to physics processing

And there's no way to change that without rewriting the game.

...or, probably switching to a different game engine.

In short, the answer to "How can I force KSP to use all my CPU cores for physics?" is "You can't."

But there's one way to get better performance on some multicore rigs.

Check your BIOS and check your OC/Turbo/Whatever options.

Some offer the ability to increase core clocking if you reduce the number of active cores.

Trading better single core performance for the numbers of active cores.

A somewhat brutal solutions but many Bioses allows for save a number of profiles.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
