I might be able to make the heightmap (that's a biiiiiig might) but I have no idea how to add it to the game or make it match up with itself

I've been trying to apply the "PostSpawnOrbit" modifier to a Kerbin-replacement planet I've been assembling. When I don't use it, everything loads, for some reason (barring the space center).

All I can guess is that since Kerbin is orbiting a star, it may not be a stable orbit modifier?

The first image in the imgur album I gave shows that, when I load a Kerbin.cfg with a PostSpawnOrbit section in the cfg, it causes Kopernicus to not load. When I don't use this, Kopernicus works, but the space center is simply blackness (though buttons on the bottom left work). I have been using a semi-functioning Kerbin.cfg though, so I may have to load it without this, and toss the Logs out again.

I also tested moving Kerbin around a gas giant, and the issue still persists.

@Thomas P. could you take a look at the output log in the link above? there are some kopernicus nullrefs I don't know where they come from

It's probably preemptively not loading the planet configuration without generating any other error information. I'm not sure how the logs work, but I'll load another mod to test this real quick.

Also, are the logs still the exact same?

After loading the other mod, I can confirm that one doesn't work either. I believe it worked before on 1.2, so I'm assuming it's an error with the PostSpawnOrbit code, all I can assume is that it hasn't been optimized or I'm configuring something wrong.

I'm going to have to see if AlternisKerbol changed anything for 1.3.1 for reparenting Kerbin since that's the only way I could figure a fix for this for now, given it works around another star.

I don't think reparenting is the issue since I just tried reparenting kerbin to jool in stock and it works fine

Well I did have to remove the stock Kerbin and replace it with another one, since my older mods do the same thing. I think one of my older error information folders contained a removeKerbin file in it too. I'm assuming it's a bad mix of configurations. By any chance could you test a 'clone Kerbin' and reparent it as well?

So I have this interesting problem with my planets lately...

All the terrains have this noticible pixelated look.

Nothing gamebreaking, but looks a bit weird visually.

 

It seems like this have nothing to do with most PQS mods, including LandControl, as those tiles are still visible even after applying a very high deformity to other PQS mods. This also seems to have nothing to do with material tiling (that NearTiling FarTiling MultiFactor thing) either.

Tried to convert heightmap to dds but this tiling still persists.

The thing is, I don't recall seeing this tiling problem just a week ago, and I made no change to any of the height maps, but this tiling just suddenly appeared to almost all of my planets... any thoughts on what could be the cause?

I don't know where this question belongs, but I thought the Kopernicus guys might know the answer.  ScienceValues are assigned in a planet's cfg file, but what about Kerbal experience points?  I've never seen anything like that in the Kittopia dumps.  Is there some way to specify how many experience points are granted for achievements like orbiting a body or planting a flag?  And if not, does anybody know how it's currently done?  Obviously the stock bodies already have point values assigned (see here), but what about new bodies added using Kopernicus?

So, long time without anything from me here... But now my exams are over and I am back.

Over the last month there were two pretty important changes to Kopernicus and I think I should finally release them. So here is Kopernicus 1.3.1-3 (Download link in the OP):

Changelog:

- Kopernicus now tracks vessel orbits using a custom identifier (for example a GUID) instead of the FGI. The identifier is loaded from the "identifier" option in the Body node. If no identifier is specified, the body name is used. This should make it possible to install or remove planet packs mid-game without messing up all of the orbits. IMPORTANT: Make a backup of your save before installing this version!
- Fixed IntensityCurve and IVAIntensityCurve. Their values were never used.
- Updated the MFI .version file
