EVE and SVE graphics mods not working

Recommended Posts

Hello, I enjoy playing ksp, but I really wanted the graphics to be better so I tried to install SVE (with the textures) and the game didn't even notice it, then I tried to install EVE with configs, and this time, it actually noticed the mod, but still said it required configs. For now I've just been running with scatterer, but it would be very useful If someone could show me how to get any graphics mod with clouds, city lights etc, to work. Thanks :)

(Sorry if this has already been answered)

Try this,

  • Scatterer
  • EVE
  • BoulderCo

This is what I have and it looks pretty good

hopefully it helps! if not send some screenshots of the game and gamedata list. :)

And on wich KSP version do you play?

You need both: EVE and SVE and for them to work together, also ModuleManager.

EVE provides the system to add clouds, auroras an other fancy stuff but it doesn't do anything on it's own. It will always require a config and textures as well. SVE provides the configs and textures required for EVE to do its magic and ModuleManager tells EVE to use the SVE files.
BoulderCo is also a collection of configs and textures but from the mod creator/maintainer of EVE. AFAIK, it doesn't provide city litghts, so you definitly want to go with SVE.

Since you already downloaded SVE and EVE, I'll just link ModuleManager here for you:

Of course, everything needs to be in the right place, so just to be sure, this is the file structure you want:

  • GameData
    • EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
      • Plugins
    • StockVisualEnhancements
      • SVE_Configs
      • SVE_Scatterer
      • Textures
    • ModuleManager.3.1.3.dll

Sorry, I can't find the plain SVE scatterer, all I can find are the SVE Scatterer Configs, and I also cannot find the EVE plugins :)

The download files for EVE, SVE, SVE textures and scatterer contain everything you need. The .zip files contain a 'GameData' folder like your KSP install. All you have to do is to put everything from the GameData folder from the mod, into the GameData folder of your game. SVE and the textures for SVE got the same folder name but that's fine, they will be merged together automatically as intended.

I'll put the download links here, just to be sure you got the right stuff:

https://github.com/WazWaz/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/releases/download/EVE-1.4.2-2/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements-1.4.2.2.zip
https://github.com/Galileo88/StockVisualEnhancements/releases/download/1.3.0.4/SVE.v1.3.0.4.zip
https://github.com/Galileo88/StockVisualEnhancements/releases/tag/1.0.7 (pick low OR medium OR high res textures)
https://github.com/LGhassen/Scatterer/releases/download/0.0336/scatterer0.0336.zip

There is one big exception for the installation of mods, that's ModuleManager. This .dll file needs to be placed directly in your GameData folder and not like other mods in a sub-directory (like in my picture above):
