In their Pro Play series, BuzzFeed Multiplayer challenged Timothy Szwarc, a real Mars rover engineer, to build a rocket and successfully land a rover on Duna!

That was excellent! Except for the gravity turn, that could definitely be improved. I wonder if he had any prior experience with the game, he seemed knowledgeable about the features the game had to offer.

He took that rover up to a blistering 2.6 meters per second. That madman should never be allowed anywhere near the controls for NASA's Mars rovers.

In other not-news, it continues to amuse me how slowly real-world rovers go in comparison to what KSP players make.
