Excessive acceleration randomly?

Question

Seemingly randomly, when I launch a rocket, it accelerates extremely rapid, out of proportion for it's TWR. MechJeb show's it's current acceleration as being greater than it's maximum acceleration (for example max acceleration 14.87ms2, current acceleration 25.72 ms2).

Hitting CTRL gets the acceleration down to max.

This kind of sounds like a staging issue with how MJ is viewing the stages and computing the TWR

Some pics of the VAB and in flight with staging and MJ info might be helpful.

Sir, may I take a look at your rocket?

14.87 max acceleration is insane.

And where is module manager?

It's not a display issue. I just had this issue come up again, and this time, the throttle would on the display next to the navball, appear to stop at the top, but the acceleration and thrust would rise seemingly infinitely as long as I hit shift,

If I hit Z for max thrust, it stays at the normal/actual max thrust. If I press shift and continue to accelerate, it accelerates seemingly infinitely. I can workaround just by hitting Z, but it's a weird bug, anyone else have this?
