Launch from water

Since a lot of people (Including me) are making a lot of ships/drone-ships. It would be cool if there was a launch site in the water. And if it was possible to launch from bases on other planets. It can probably be added by mods (Like nearly everything else) But it would be cool to have it in the base game

I know you said base game, but for what its worth this feature is indeed available with the Making History DLC.  Unfortunately, this is just for within a specific mission and cannot be used in any way in Sandbox, Science, or Career modes.  Seems like a silly limitation but there you have it.

I do have the making history DLC, I never knew that, But it should be implemented into sandbox/career mode if the code and design are there. Do you know what mission it is?

I think wanting the mission stuff to not be completely separate was a universal sentiment when MH was released.  No one was really asking for a new game mode where all the cool stuff would be restricted to.  Unfortunately no one has been able to mod these features back into the main game modes.

This is no mission in particular, I just placed a quick launchsite and slapped a rocket together for a demo.  Here is the same thing sitting in the ocean of Eve:

 

(as an aside, look how different the white from the Making History parts is from the white of the fairing!)
