KSP Mac Updater not Working

The Updater is grayed out , and will not work (known problem)

I'm Running a 2018 MacBook Pro which handles the game fine. 

To update I normally have to do a full reinstall them move my craft. 

Does anyone know a Fix? or a workaround, (other than full reinstall)
