Well of course KSP2 will for sure have its share of mod-breaking updates.  :sticktongue:

I wonder how long it will take people to start complaining that their favorite mods don't work.  My guess - 30 mins.

Woo! Couldn't nail down what exactly was making those reentries so much more dangerous with that heatshield, but it sounds like that problem is now a thing of the past. I'm also pretty thrilled about the Poodle FX fix, until now I'd just been layering them together in the config.

After installing the updated Restock and Restock + I got this funny error.

This error manifests itself with the Poodle engine.

Perhaps the poodle is making a stand for the people bullying Dres?

It's a feature!

I use CKAN and have edited configs to duplicate certain parts as opposed to replacing them. How can I update without screwing this up?

I put my custom configs (part copies, modifying parts, etc) in another folder I created in GameData, so it stays separate from any other mods. That way, you don't have to worry about mods overwriting them. You might try that.

I'm receiving this error every time I try to use the engine "KR-1 'Boar' Liquid Fuel Engine" from "ReStock+":

PrefabParticleFX: Cannot find transform of name 'smokePoint'

* It seems to be working fine! Just wanted to report the error message here...

Thanks.

I was coming here to report this bug that I just discovered and saw that it has already been reported!

* Another bug I found:
When I load the stock ship "Acapello", the fairings are flickering

they are modifacations of the configs, not new files...

That happens in the stock game to, it's annoying but not really a big deal.

Best practice is to, rather than modify mod files as such, use ModuleManager to patch them at runtime.

i don't know how to make it duplicate without first undoing the original patch and then re-doing the patch in a modified manner, because you literally have to change the "@" to a "+" and add a name argument

In my game, the flickering of the fairings only happens with ReStock installed! Maybe the dimension of the fuel tank inside the fairings have changed and they are clipping through the fairing!

I'm pretty sure the opposite is the case, being the faring size is changed by restock.

That's what I meant!

All I know is that without ReStock that ship works fine. With ReStock installed, the fairings are conflicting with the inner tank!

That's exactly the process. If you are copying a part, you use the +PART[partname] syntax to add a part, then you can give your copied part a new name and change what you need to directly below it.  Put this in another file, and you'll never have to worry about mod updates overwriting your part copy.

If you have questions, check out the ModuleManager wiki - it's pretty helpful: https://github.com/sarbian/ModuleManager/wiki

Or you can ask on the ModuleManager thread. People there are generally pretty helpful as well.

It's a Z-Fighting issue as both the fairing and tank are exactly the same size.

This is not an issue with ReStock, this is an issue with the craft file/design.

The flickering in the fairing only happens with ReStock installed!

I don't know what is the problem!
