Ah, I believe the issue is I downloaded from the kopernicus link on the front page of this mod instead of bleeding edge. Could've sworn I didn't though.

The front page is the home for 1.9.1 stable, which while normally the safe choice, had a gamebreaking typo in it's release tonight (queue Homer Simpson "Doh!" times 10).  I just fixed it.  Download Release 5 to get the fix, or wait for CKAN to index it if you use that.

Yeah, should be fixed by now.

It's official.  My main game is switching to this mod.  I can't stand it anymore.

PS:  Linx, you may want to correct the lines about Kopernicus.  While I tested 1.9.1 and it indeed works now, 1.8.1 isn't supported by your mod I think (or is it)?

I just uploaded an update to Parallax https://github.com/Gameslinx/Tessellation/releases/tag/1.0.1

Hopefully this works :)

Thanks for the update :)

Unfortunately I'm getting the same pink textures as I got with my workaround from yesterday.

That. Just took a quick hyperedit tour of some planets, this is just incredible. Seems to be working fine too with latest kopernicus bleeding edge 32 with ksp1.10.

Donation incoming at the next launch window (meaning, when my wife isn't looking at the bank account).

Kopernicus updated in the last hour and it appears to have messed with Beyond Home because for me now it just loads stock KSP

EDIT: I tried it with the Kopernicus release right before the latest update and it works fine so its definitely gotta be something with the new release.

Also does anyone get lower FPS when near say Ash or Lua, but other planets FPS drop isn't as bad.

Same, Rhode is fine but Lua (and most other planets) is a massive FPS drain. Probably a mod interaction issue, as I don't have issues when playing with only BH and few other mods.

Hello! Im new at adding mods on KSP and i have been having problems with the installation of Beyond Home, Kopernicus and Parallax. I dont know which version of KSP i need to have installed, i tried with KSP 1.10 but Kopernicus only have 1.9 so then i tried with KSP 1.9 and there are the same errors (a message apear on load screen saying "Beyond Home and Parallax have not been installed" and then when i click on the settings to change the textures for Parallax to work it keeps loading forever). I have installed mods on other games so i think im doing it well (im copying the mods folders on the GameData-->Squad ) I would apreciate if someone tell me wich version of each mod i need to install and which  version of KSP i need too. Thanks for the help.

As you're on Linux, the installation checker currently doesn't work. I'll be patching this in the next update.

As for BH and Parallax, it appears as if it loaded correctly. You tried to go from the main menu to the space center and it doesn't look like anything went wrong - You just didn't wait long enough?

I'm using Windows 10, did i download something for linux? When i was going to the space center was beacuse the game was crashing when i tried to open the settings, so i tried to start a new game and waited for like a minute and closed it to send you de log. This is the log just trying to open the settings (i waited for like a minute but other time i tried waiting for like five minutes). Maybe I downloaded something for linux, because im using windows 10 and you said im using linux, thats weird.

You've got all kinds of installation issues. There's another gamedata folder within your gamedata. On top of that, you installed at least one mod directly into gamedata without its own sub-directory - folders called Parts, Resources etc shouldn't be in there.

That's odd. It looks like everything loads correctly, it even tells me it found and loaded the shader bundle properly as well as applying all of the configs...

I'm truly stumped. This must be related to Linux (Unfortunately, I don't have a linux machine to be able to test it myself)...

Unfortunately I have no idea where to even think about looking, either.

The only thing odd I noticed was that the Parallax-linux.unity3d file (11.6 KB) is significantly smaller than the macosx (225.2 KB) and windows (182.5 KB) files.  Not sure if that could be an indicator of something not compiling correctly?

I tried it in Steam with the Windows version under Proton and it seems to have worked, although the game's all flickery doing that.  I'll probably just leave it for now, if you figure something out and need me to test it, lemme know.

Okey now all should be good, but its not working, here is the gameData-->Squad folder before and after the BeyondHome, Parallax and Kopernicus installation.

It COULD be a driver issue.  Linux driver quality varies wildly, depending on open-source vs closed-source drivers, and several other choices.

It shouldn't all be in GameData/Squad, mods only go in subfolders in gamedata/.  Also, Squad has squad stuff you don't want to remove, so be careful when moving them.

Your new screenshot shows a VERY important little detail that explains what's further going wrong with your installation: you've put all your mods inside gamedata/squad/. When everything should be within just gamedata/. I strongly advise you to do a complete clean reinstall of the whole game and add mods accordingly afterwards, who knows how many problems you're still going to get otherwise.

To summarize: you've installed pretty much everything in the wrong place.

My advice is similar.  It's going to be too hard to pull everything out without getting pieces of Squad removed as well.  Just start over.

1. Is it ok to run this with EVE-Redux?

2. I noticed clouds are pretty low on homeworld, is it intended?

3. Also I noticed that on altitude of like ~15-20k up until like ~50-55k sky is black (only sun is shining). There is no transition like on Kerbin. Is it intended or I am missing something? Looks kinda weird/unusual.

Thanks!

P.S. Scatterer, EVE-Redux, Kopernicus BE, Sigma Skybox, Parallax installed. All up to date. And some other mods.

Yes, otherwise they would not be low :P

The binary stars are significantly brighter than the surrounding sky. Just like in real life, you won't be able to see the stars until you're close to being outside the atmosphere.

I see, thanks for your answer!

Last question is it intended that clouds are one layer only and it looks like thin film when you pass them? If so are there any plans to improve them (make them more volumetric - as EVE-Redux is faster than original)?

Thanks!
