THE SSTO CHALLENGE:

The human's have polluted earth, The sun is very big now, what can we do? I have the answer: Go to space. A lot of companies down at earth are competing to find the best solution.
-Spacex's solution: Build an SSTO and fly it to mars
-ULA's solution: Build an SSTO and fly to the moon, maybe its cold and dark, but its close :)
-Blue origin's solution: Build a single stage orbital colony, and let earth restore itself whilst we live in space
-NASA's solution: Build an SSTO to pluto, it will never get eaten by the sun.

You choose which solution you believe in.

Phase 1: Rookie division SSTO builder
- Build a functional SSTO in RSS

Phase 2: Neil armstrong Jr.
-Build an SSTO in RSS and fly it to the moon and back (Mission must be manned)

Phase 3: Elon musk's little helper
-Build a manned SSTO in RSS and fly it to at least 5 biomes on mars

Phase 4: Humanity's savior
Build a manned SSTO in RSS and fly it to Pluto and all its moons then back to earth.

NOTE: i am not a mod on the KSP forums so i cant put any titles to your name

Never played around with RSS myself. The backstory maybe pointing out at a mass exodus, which shouldn't be done with SSTOs (in other words, craft hauling sections they could've filled with people, instead of fuel) but I understand people may find this challenge interesting :)

I think a rss variant challenge using ssto's is a little to big of a leap unless you use exotic/future engine mods.

Maybe on a 3x kerbin scale the challenge is more universal and more people will apply. Still, it's good to see a rather alternative challenge posted :)
