Russian Apollo style Eeloo mission

Recommended Posts

Russian Apollo????

Do you Mean the Soviet Soyuz A-B-V circumlunar complex, as in early designs,

or the later N1 LOR concept, including the LK-R uncrewed L3 complex and two Lunokhod automated rovers to work as radio beacons for crewed LK, with the LK-R used as a reserve escape craft?

Most people only know about the N1 program. I'd assume that's what they're talking about.

You should get an Eeloo-> Kerbin transfer once per Kerbin year (plus a few hours)

you wont get a good transfer once per year because of eeloo's inclination. You'd have to do a pretty big mid course inclination change if you don't find the right window.

Considering anyone who search for N1 will also find out LK700, this can go both way. Plus, since Apollo originally asked for direct ascent with Nova/Saturn-C8, one can easily argue LK700 fit the profile too.

Yes, but most people don't know about the Apollo Direct Ascent mission. He stated in his first reply that he meant a Lunar orbit rendezvous mission with USSR parts.
