how to buy KSP for a friend?

With the new website design, I no longer know how to buy KSP for a friend.

We do not want steam/console versions, just the standard DRM-free one from www.kerbalspaceprogram.com.

I know my friends email address, and I am ready to pay for him. That should be enough, right?

Any ideas?

Steam KSP is DRM free.  There's also GoG.

You should also be able to get him an online VISA gift card or something.

You could try gifting it on Steam, but I saw that you don't want to use Steam. Maybe give them like a card or something for them to buy the game with?

Dunno...maybe send the whole thing with email...? (Ask the internet account, then use friend's name to buy it if that's what you mean...)

Yes... <air quotes>for a friend.</air quotes> It's okay it admit you like KSP, rocketry, and science. We're all alike here.

My reflex would be to create an account with their email address, or similar, buy it, and then scrub the payment information. Then send them the account information.

@surge The direct download that's available at the KSP Store is DRM free. You'll need to create an account to complete the purchase and you'll hold on to that in order to acquire new updates and/or re-download the files. As the intention is to give it as a present to your friend, I'd suggest him to create an account of his own and do the purchase there.

steubens option is the one that i chose, as awkward as it is.

It was supposed to be a sort of 'suprise' gift. If he needs to create an account in advance, it kind of ruins the experience, doesnt it
