It's yet again time for our

Threads of the Month Awards, for April 2019!

We'll start off, fittingly for April, with a touch of the absurd.   Is a taco really a sandwich?  @HelioCentric had this random shower thought, and the discussion bloomed into a thread of it's own, where discussion of what constitutes a sandwich, how a sandwich is legally defined, and the linguistic/cultural differences on how food is prepared, led us down a road of wit and mayhem:

Next up, we look at @Kronus_Aerospace's replica of Howard Hughes' Goliath Spruce Goose.  This gigantic beast is beautifully done, exquisitely detailed and quite historically accurate.  The eight propellers are so big they have to be powered by 3 jet engines, each!  Take a gander at this:

And now we come to a wonderful post by @4x4cheesecake.  In this thread, he took the time to write out a complete guide on the various ways to install mods.  This tutorial will be very useful for helping users with modding related questions:

Next, staying on the topic of mods, we come to @Nertea's Restock Mod.  Nertea is not the sole author of this mod though, there is a long list of contributors included in the OP, they all deserve thanks for their efforts.  Restock is an effort to normalize the artwork in KSP, among other things, and the result is impressive:

Over to our challenges department, we find @panzerknoef's Air Superiority Competition.  In this competition, users design and build various Air to Air combat craft (using the BD Armory Mod) and then are pitted against each other.   Everyone involved seems to have a great time, and the videos are fun to watch:

And rounding out our Threads Of the Month, @Tyrion Spacedwarf asks for some help with a custom controller setup.  The community offered up many useful solutions, not only with the physical controller, but with mods and play styles to help fit Tyrion's needs:

As always, the Threads of the Month will get pinned in their respective sub-forum, and tagged with "TOTM April 19".

And once again, a thank you to @adsii1970 for the creation of our wonderful TOTM badges.  TOTM winners can place these badges in the thread, in their signatures, under their beds, wherever they'd like.

If you find a thread that you feel is of such quality that it should be featured in our TOTM, then click that "report" button in the OP of the thread, and let us know you nominate it!  We, as moderators, don't get to see every thread out there, and without your input, these awards can't happen.  So nominate those threads!

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
