how many times have you been in the VAB or SPH and were building a craft, and had to compare parts like two different engines?

As insane as it sounds, would really appreciate a way to compare two, three, four, or even five things side by side without resorting to mk1 spreadsheet (paper and pencil).

Would like to be able to compare 1:1 or 1:Several or several:several (so say an engine cluster vs one engine) (or say three solar panels vs two) - all without having to attach parts, scribble notes, unattach and attach different. Engines and tanks in particular due to staging.

I think this is a neat idea. Might be better as a mod, but if it was added in stock- I'd probably use it all the same. Since occasionally I do pop between engines to see which works best for the mission at hand. Most of the time I don't care (between the Wolfhound and the Spark engine, most of my needs are easily achieved without having to try), but on the few times where I do care (and if I played more in career this would be more useful) this would be a great asset.

As someone with dual monitors and an excel licence it wouldn't be all that useful for me, but I could see it being useful.

Yes, good call. Very useful, if not immediately obvious, feature.
