Meanwhile my poor Kerbals are gazing at the horizon, wishing the 30th would come sooner. Also if someone knows the hotkey for timewarp outside KSP please post.

O.o

That'd better be a stock craft, Squad.

Its got some Making History parts on it, but it looks "stock" as in no mods.  I can see that the symmetry bug with the MH structural panels is still present on this craft.  Hopefully that gets fixed someday.

I'm curious -- with bipedal walkers, you need to shift your center of gravity when you lift up one leg, and then shift it again when you plant it and lift your other leg. I'm not necessarily seeing that handled in this clip. Is it something we need to account for or does the game fudge it for us?

In other words, if you just lift up one leg, you should fall over.

Reaction wheels at work. It would be possible to make such a walker without reaction wheels but it’s going to be pretty difficult.  Would need a ore tank to swing back and forth and front to back for example.

Stardust's rep has grown by at least 300 since they started posting about Breaking Ground.

Its been a pretty solid rollout I have to say. I’m as psyched as I’ve ever been for new content. Still curious about surface feature mapping but I’m really happy about everything I’ve seen so far.

That could work. I was thinking of using several rotational servos that mimic the way a human balances using joints in the pelvis. It's complicated and part of the reason why walking robots are hard to make in real life, too. I wouldn't mind a bit of simplification for KSP's purposes to be truthful.

That thing looks good but.... can it jump over Wrinkle Ridge?

Who knows?? The only way to find out is to buy the DLC on 30th of May 2019!!! And play with it..... (Obviously)
