Trouble installing KSP Linux

Question

I'm currently running Pop! OS Linux distro, and I was wondering as to how I would be able to install KSP.

My main problem, is that I have the GOG Galaxy version of the game, I have tried using Lutris to install the game, but each time I get an error saying "Error("Destination path '/home/name/.cache/lutris/installer/kerbal-space-program/unzip' already exists",)"

I have obviously checked this each time before installing and its not there.

In case its of any help: I have ensured that Lutris has read and write permissions

There's a dot in the path, which means the .cache folder is hidden. Did you take that into consideration when looking for the files?

And why use Lutris? Have you tried just using the GOG installer?

If a KSP_linux folder exists somewhere on your pc,  then navigate into that folder either in terminal or with your file manager. I personally just double-click the KSP.x86_64 file from within the file manager in Mint and it runs. Form terminal you would need to type ./KSP.x86_64. Not sure why you would need lutris or gog galaxy client for this game, just more layers of complication between you and the game.

I wouldn't bother futzing with Galaxy.  The game doesn't update so often that you need Galaxy to manage it for you.

Download the self-contained installer, mark the install.sh file as executable (right-click-> permissions) or (chmod +x /home/you/whatever/kerbal_space_program_1_7_2_02556_30216.sh) and install.

Unless there's a specific reason you want to use Galaxy?
