KSP stops loading on random .cfg files

This seems to be an issue that appeared after updating from 1.7.0 to 1.7.1 every time I try to launch the game (in 64 bit) it will load about half way to 2/3 the way through and then stop and sit on a file. Ex. It will display Squad/Spaces/Placeholder/internal/Placeholder. Also on every one it gets stuck on it’s in a ‘spaces’ folder. 

As far as for RAM I have 16gb ant it is always at 60% utilization when the game stops loading (about 5.6gb). Also, when I delete the file that has broken the game and relaunch it just goes to another internal.cfg file and freezes. Btw when I say freeze I mean that it stope day loading but the background and stuff still change.

A log file would be very useful and identify exactly where your problem is. Most likely the problem is a missing resource, but without the log file I can't tell you which one may be missing

I'm kind of a noob at this forum and files so if its the wrong file or I attached it wrong please let me know.

Hey guys. Not trying to be pushy, but has any progress been made? Also I uninstalled all of my mods and the game launches and plays fine while 100% stock but after reinstalling the mods it breaks again. Thanks

Try adding back one mod at a time, see if you can identify when it stops

Okay, so I did what you said and slowly add on mod at a time and it turns out the culprit was Kerbal Inventory System. I’m not sure if it is a known issue that KIS isn’t compatible with 1.7.2 (the version I have) but it might have something to do with kerbals having stock inventories in 1.7.3 (I think). I was about to buy more ram because I thought it was ram related so it’s a good thing I tried this, thanks for the help

Glad you figured it out.

Im pretty sure KIS works, gonask questions in that thread.  And make sure you have the latest version
