Not to violate the forum rules, but how will they bypass some Harkonnen's... features... supposed to be highlighting his negative nature in Herbert's time, lol.

If it were me, I would focus just on his cruelty... he was a monster.  Ignore the rest

Release date is Aug 8 on HBO Max and theaters - Suicide Squad

Supposed to be a reboot, which to me is odd rebooting a movie that technically has a sequel, and the original movie is only what, 4 years old?

But, could be good...

I love the original Dune movie. I am afraid of what a remake will look like.

I like a lot of the look of it, but hate some of it rather a lot—even though a friend of mine is actually in it:

He's the smallish dude on the left :D

He's an anesthesiologist, big game hunter, and scotch aficionado (the order there might be off ;) )

I hate the thopters in the old movie. Hate all the awful non-knife weapon things.

The trailer for the new one makes the thopters also look bad in a different way (they are ornithopters, not insectithopters). Unsure how the rest will work out.

The Swarm, 2020 warns us of the dangers from the edible grasshoppers farming (herding?).

Don't let them to suck your blood, the consequences for the world will be devastating.

Also it looks explaining the origin of Lu-Qiri in the The Outpost.

Due to the Blackbloods' black blood magical activity, those three meter high grashopper-like beasts are probably their former edible grasshoppers occasionally tasting the black blood.

Would not be surprising, after the plaguelings and the collipsum flies nature.

You missed your calling. Should have been a screenwriter.

The new LOTR.
Or the pre-LOTR.

They move the prequel filming from New Zealand to England for other 4 seasons.

(Because no volcanos for Orodruin are needed anymore?)

The New Zealanders are sad, but actually the Brits should start worrying.
The book prequel ended with an island sinking and the continent cracking.

I can't even-

Well, at least they haven't used a lightsaber helicopter. Yet.

Without even bothering to watch carefully... The Force is supposed to be a subtle form of magic. Doesn't seem seem like they noticed.

Spoiler

I mean in it's defense, anime isn't exactly subtle, on the other hand....

Lightsaber umbrella :/

I was afraid of making such a sweeping statememt, but yes... anime seems self-indulgent and exaggerated. It's more than just an art-style. Which is why I was going to argue that the whole thing is a bad idea from the start, despite some precedent:

Can't entrust anime with Jedi powers.

00:20 - Why does he pull the lightsaber?!

***

After the flying lightchoppers all previous SW maintainers should shave their heads and pass away to a jungle monastery, because they know nothing in cinema.

It was so simple and so magnificent, and noone did it for tens of episodes.
