[1.8.x] DE_IVAExtension - For All the Stock Pod IVAs!

An interesting thing:

I have used this mod for many years, and I have been using it on Mac before. I use ksp12.3- DE_IVAv.1.0.2.

But today when I reinstalled a Win11 PC, I reinstalled the game (version 12.3) and reinstalled all mods to the latest version with CKAN, but I found that DE_IVA was not working. After entering the perspective of the cabin, the original operation panel is displayed, not the AEST operation panel of DE_IVA. However, after checking the manned compartment of other mods, it is found that JSI and AEST can work normally.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Did you install Reviva?  You need to right-click the pod and select the IVA you want.  Otherwise, post your ksp.log file.

Glad to hear Reviva helped fixed your problem. I wrote the mod because I was annoyed about setting up other IVA mod how I liked them and thought: "Wouldn't it be nice if you could select the IVA", and also make sure there's a central list and support for them. It uses B9PartSwitch to do most of the work.

If you like RPM IVA, it's worth checking what IVA mods are currently supported by Reviva, DE_IVA is one of them, but there's some very good alternatives (my favourites are ASET's and Warbirds), and some non-stock support. It also supports MOARdV's amazing Avionics System (MAS), which is the successor to RPM. 

I may be adding more, it's usually based on either suggestions or me actually wanting a particular IVA when I'm playing KSP.

If you have KerbalVR installed, this is expected. The changes it has to make to support VR breaks the mouse interactions.

I don't know, why, but for some reason, the majority of the IVA components do not work.
I have a few other IVA mods but Reviva lets me change them, so that can't be the issue.
This leads me to belief that this mods' additions are the ones that are broken or glitched out; probably because it's outdated. 

List:
-Any and all switches and their respective covers (abort, staging, et cetera; doesn't show the current stage, but a white box instead
-Fuel displays (show that the tanks are empty, don't move at all)
-The screens are completely broken (buttons are irresponsive and the screens are black)
-More things that I do not know the name of

This mod certainly works when it’s installed correctly. Post your KSP.log file if you need help.  I’d suggest using CKAN to install this and your other mods; note you’ll have to mark 1.8 as compatible in CKAN’s settings.

Im new to KSP modding so the last 2 days was spent mostly staring in CKAN and loading screens to double check different mods etc. I've finally found the right mods for me while they dont conflict with each other as much.

First try - I ended up with a lot of errors, hence the whole days  struggle, luckily gave me time to watch awesome Scott Manley's videos on PS4's YT app.  Now I've finally reach the point that the game is ready to play (or so I think, since only Kerbal deity knows if something will break later down the career path) but I still get two errors displayed by module manager and from the log I can figure out who is the culprit apart from the victim. Error is connected to DV-IVA parts.cfg.

Please help, after those days Im really tired and want to finally reach the stars!

Found the culprit, so if anyone encounter this, check if you have installed ASET Avionics Pack. I removed it and the 2 errors are completely gone and cockpits are fully usable.

OK, got it...I'm not sure why you think this was related to avionics - it's an interaction between ProbeControlRoom, DE_IVAExtensions, and REPOSoftTech.  I'll get it fixed.

The module manager error message at the loading screen was gone after I removed the Avionics so maybe thats what confused. This past two days have been hard on my sanity. Havent had such modding misadventures probably since Morrowind.

Normally things are pretty stable as long as you  use ckan. But the iva mods have been under heavy development recently and some stuff is a little buggy.  Thanks for the reports!

So I'm also having an issue with the green HUDs being opaque black. Weirdly, they worked when I didn't have MAS installed, but none of the other props existed, but when I installed MAS, everything else popped up and worked except for the HUDs which started doing that - any ideas?

And below are screenshots. For whatever reason an error gets thrown up I just noticed that seems to be MAS related, so I guess I'll try reinstalling that or going over to that thread for help unless you know what's going on.

Also the Mk1 Pod (not inline)'s HUD works but I have no clue as to why only that one works.

Yeah this sounds like an issue with MAS rather than DE_IVA or ASET.
