More controllers and stuff for action/axis groups

Recommended Posts

My idea is to add some sort of math controllers, that can get any input and process it into some outputs. There can be many usages. Some examples:

You have some sort of gyroscope sensor, you reading some data from it, then you do some math calculations and then use it to point stuff straight upwards.

Or you read position output from robotics hinge then use it to rotate another hinge.

Also, some output devices, such as gyroscope sensor, atmospheric pressure sensor, accelerometer sensor, etc.
And of course, controller, that replaces default action/axis groups menu with its own menu, where you can get any input (user input (keyboard, sme window with number inputs), sensor readout, ), process it (math blocks, IK stuff, etc), and set it to any output (action/axis groups, individual parts).

What do you think?

People usually use kOS mod to program in stuff like that.

Yeah, sort of :D

But kOS need programming skills, as i remember, right? Controllers i suggested dont ever need these skills, because they programmed using blocks with connectable input/output nodes.

AFAIK, the kOS syntax is pretty simple. I don't use the mod myself, but I've looked into it, and it doesn't seem so complex compared to most other programming languages.

But anyways, its better to use blocks with nodes and sequence controllers to program stuff, right?

Yeah. As a real-world example: in programming languages, Scratch is easier to program than say, Python, because it's all drag and drop stuff.
