I'm still, somehow, plinking away a career game, and I got this little gem.

I don't know what's worse, that they think it's possible to study Ice Cream on the sun, or the offensive pittance they want to pay me for it.

Got a Pol rescue contract recently that required completion in less time than the two Jool Hohmann transfers took. Was thinking "Wonder what that little red icon means..."
The failure penalty was offset by the fact that once you have staffed bases around the solar system, kerbonauts start to get pretty expensive.

You have a contracts mod going, @Geonovast? I don’t see either CooperativeCompetetiveCorporateConglomerateEasyGoing nor Kerbal Standard in the listed agencies on the wiki; Methinks this is all mod bug.

The part mentioned is indeed from a mod, airplanes+. The part is a tail connector, and Kerbal Standard is the agency that makes those parts. Your explanation is probably correct.

And the Ice Cream experiment itself comes from Angel-125's WBI (Wildblue Industries) series of mods... you probably have one of their mods (Buffallo, Pathfinder, M.O.LE.)... Their mods install a common package "WildBlue Tools", which actually contains those experiment contracts

I'm well aware it's mod-induced, I just thought it was funny.  I have a couple of Angel's mods along with quite a few others.  I wasn't trying to complain about a stock bug or anything.

Just wanted to share and see what else other people had encountered.

Timmy Kerman, young boy just now learning how to spell, saved an entire year worth of his allowance, to have an answer to what is the most important question of his life yet: "Does Ice Cream melt on the Sun?"

Timmy convinced his father, a mere factory worker at Kerbal Standard, to slip a requisition to  the leading Space Agency to fulfill his son's dream..

Alas, Administrator Geonovast found little Timmy's request "ridiculous" and the funding, an "offensive pittance", crushing both the requisition paper and Timmy's dreams....
