On October 2, 2014, Uber Entertainment announced a new Kickstarter campaign for a real-time strategy game, Human Resources. The goal was set for $1.4 million, though the project was cancelled October 21, 2014 after projections showed the fundraiser would fail to raise the needed capital.

Can Kickstarter refund the money if a project is unable to fulfill?

No. Kickstarter doesn't issue refunds, as transactions are between backers and the creator. In fact, Kickstarter never has the funds at all. When a project is successfully funded, money is transferred directly from backers' credit cards to the project creator's Amazon Payments account. It's up to the creator to issue a refund, which they can do through their Amazon Payments account.

Reminder: Because this game did not fund, Kickstarter will not take any of your pledge money and we will be unable to deliver any tier rewards.

No money was taken from people.

You PLEDGE money, which means you agree to pay the amount of money you say you will, and ARE NOT CHARGED.

You WOULD be charged IF and ONLY IF the game met it's funding goal.

It DID NOT meet it's goal, therefore NO money was taken, therefore money was NOT robbed from anyone.

Research goes a long way to stopping false accusations.
