Why can't I start career mode?

Recommended Posts

I recently got KSP and have been having fun in sandbox mode, and I decided to start career mode.  I went to start a new game, and career mode was greyed out so I couldn't play it.  I figured that it was because I hadn't completed the tutorials, so I went and did those (although I can't complete the orbiting 101, it says to get the orbit path to nearly circular, and I got the eccentricity down to 0.002, and I still couldn't move on.  any help here?).  I have no idea why I can't do this, as I could easily start career mode in the demo version.  Please help, I don't want my money to have been wasted!

Welcome aboard, @Jodastt! There's definitely something odd going on, there are no requirements you need to do before starting a career.

Do you have the game on Steam?  If so, you may want to try a file validation.  Seems silly, but for some reason Steam has an issue installing this game properly on the first go around.

If it's not on Steam, then I would try re-installing.

Apparently you didn't read the sticky I linked.

Please use a third party hosting service for the log and then link it here.   Posting giant annoying walls of text like that makes it very hard for some members to use the forums correctly.

Also, we'll need the log files listed in the sticky.
