How do I recover gamedata

So I have a cousin who likes to destroy my stuff. He recently figured out how to delete files. I was in gamedata trying to mod and I did not notice he deleted the gamedata. And I tried to launch KSP on steam and it did not work. I went in to delete some mods and I noticed it was missing. So I went to my recycling bin, and its empty. So how would I recover it?

Either restore from a VSS Snapshot a.k.a. "Previous Versions", or restore from a backup (you do make backups regularly, do you?)

You have the game on Steam so you can verify the game files and it'll reinstall whatever was deleted.

It won't install mods again so you'll have to do that manually.

And tell your cousin's parents about it because there is no excuse for that behavior. And never enter let them touch your computer again. Like, when you're 40 and they ask if they can check their email.

Thanks! I will reinstall it when I have the time. I may not be on computer for a while due to tea got in it and I am waiting it to dry out. And I do not backup the game very much. I backup the game every year or 2.

I found out I installed it twice. once on E drive and once on C drive so I was able to recover all of the game!
